You are your family's loyal companion, following them wherever they go and protecting them. One of them was lost to you just recently, but he gave you a mission.
What that mission was, you can't quite remember.
A pain clouds your mind and senses, but there is a duty you must follow.
You stand up, duty must be done, but it should be found first.
Corpses of wolves laid around you, some of their blood dried between your claws.
You disregard them and looked around.
There are two paths before you.
Would you like to take left or right?
You have taken the left route and it goes forward.
Long, faded scratches littered the way and you come across another possible path.
Would you like to keep going straight or take a left?
The smell of salt drifts about.
You've decided to take right and it rounds into a corner that unfortunately hits a dead end.
Something smells nice about it though.
After taking your time in appreciating the scent, you went back and took the left.
You take a left and are once again met with a choice.
Life really is hard for a dog on a mission.
Straight or left?
Something dangerous seems to be brewing ahead...
A nice left turn and in you go.
There are some strange looking marks on the walls, one seem to be human words but a dog cannot read them unfortunately.
Back to more important matters, left or straight head?
A chill goes down your doggie spine as you peek ahead...
This appears to be a rather safe route that keeps going straight, then a nice turn around a corner.
Hm, a cockroach crawls by and you smack it into a nice mysterious splat among other splats on the ground.
Left or right?
There seems to be more fresh air from the left, but the right also seems nice.
It's a long corridor full of twists and turns. The scent of blood becomes stronger and stronger...
!!!
The ground below you falls apart and something pierces through you.
GAME OVER
Oh, you find yourself a bag of half eaten jerky. No one can work without food, so you eat it right up.
Back to the subject at hand, should you go back and try the other path before this, or go back to the very beginning route you didn't take?
There's no other way after all.
The entrance seems to be near! You can smell more and more fresh air!
Now, to continue straight into the darkness or take a right?
Hm, you're a bit hungry.
You run into a small girl, dressed in a small bloodied dress. She first looked at you in shock, then happiness.
"Null!" She calls out your name and runs happily to you, hugging you tightly.
It was his owner's daughter, Noel. The memory of his owner tasking him to keep her safe pops up.
Now he was truly a dog on a mission.
There are two ways now, but since Noel said she came from the right, they took the left.
The entrance is there! It's right there!
But there is one more bend...
Should you take the chance where freedom is right before you to take a peek or go right out?
IArrows flies out before you could do anything and skewers you.
The last thing you see is a woman holding a knife and bow, giving one last apology before saying it was all for survival.
You are then eaten.
GAME OVER
What you found... was someone familiar. It was the zombie version of your former owner, now a howling dead man crawling to you.
Master...
You took down his zombie self.
You're free! Literally free from the dangerous maze!
You do a happy dance and enjoyed the outside air.
There's something itching at the back of your mind, but you don't mind it and goes about your way.
END
They walked for a while, turning quite a few corners. Noel points out some words she knows.
Some of them included Love, Live and other things.
Noel walked happily while holding her bunny plushie. Although tired, with each other, they both felt better and hopeful.
Then they hit a crossroad. The left has quite a bit of blood pooling while the right also looks rather long.
Which one shall Noel and you take?
A bit dispirited, but a dog has to do what a dog has to do.
Survival is a must, though you feel as if you've forgotten something else.
But you will advance forward bravely in this zombie world.
END
Despite the pooling blood as a warning, Noel and you still took left.
It was a disaster.
You tried your best to protect Noel but was killed.
Little Noel has no chance alive and was also killed by the hoard of zombies.
GAME OVER
Noel and you decided to keep going straight. This seems to be the path to freedom.
You come across a small bag of food and water next to a corpse and take it to Noel.
There was another path but you two could clearly see it was a dead end with even more corpses.
Thankfully it has nothing else.
Soon enough, you two could both see the entrance. Both of you happily run over. Even if you two couldn't survive out there, it was better than staying inside.
Besides, they have each other.
That's all that matters right now.
